St. George Fun...

We went to St. George last weekend and had a GREAT time. John took off Thurs. and Fri. and we had a nice long weekend together... with NO distractions. Friday we went for a little hike (we didn't bring much water... not too smart on our part). Both the kids here such troopers.

After the hike we headed over to the water area downtown. Gracen made some friends and got TOTALLY muddy. She had A LOT of fun. It was fun to see her interact with other kids.
Carson thought it was pretty cool too. He just loved getting wet.
After Carson's nap, we pack them up again and went back up Snow Canyon to the sand dunes. It was PERFECT!! The cliffs were shading the dunes so it was nice a cool. Gracen found this little flower... I had to take a picture- Bugga, this is for your bedroom wall collage (if you want it). :o)Gracen kept asking for "wet sand", so John dug a deep hole until he found the sand she needed to build a castle.Can you tell by Carson's hair that he had a good time.On the walk back to the car, Gracen kept finding little lizards. She's crouch down and try her hardest to catch one. They were FAST little guys. She was determined to catch one and bring home.
After dinner that night, we stopped by Nielson's Frozen Custard (our St. Geroge tradition). Good and MESSY!! I think more ended up on John than on the kid's faces.
Saturday we went out to John's family "Ranch". John told us about riding around in a canoe made out of an old airplane tank (cut in half). Funny thing... we found it in the retention pool. He emptied out the water and took the kids for a ride. (Yes, Gracen's in her panties... she fell in as soon as she started wading around).
That night, we went to "Pancho and Lefty's" (no patten leather shoes and I wore hairspray). :o) Carson DOVE IN on the chips and salsa. He LOVED IT!!
Last thing before bed... off to the cool park by Bugga and Papa's.

We had a GREAT time. I sure love my little family and I'm glad we had that time together.

Simmons Update...

Wow... maybe I should just stop blogging altogether. I'm HORRIBLE!! I thought I'd better post some updated photos.

This kid LOVES bananas.
And this kid loves carrots. Check out this beast from her Grandpa's garden.
Gracen's 1st day of school was today. It's hard to believe she's in Pre-School. She loved her first day.
Carson was rubbing peach juice in his hair at lunch today. He thought he was SO funny.
Gotta LOVE these kids!

Another fun day at the Zoo...

We went to the zoo with some friends last week... as stinky as it is, I love going to the zoo. :o)

Our little navigators... they kept us on our toes and let us know when we missed an animal.
Carson, again, wanted to ride the merri-go round by himself.
This is Gracen's favorite part of the Zoo.

They had a bunch of baby animals there, a baby elephant (that wasn't out to see yet), 3 baby tigers, a baby leopard, and this DARLING baby giraffe.
I know this was my favorite part when I was young...
Carson was a good sport... even when he was 2 hours past his naptime.

But, it soon caught up to him.

At least he'll eat Corn...

My poor boy is SO picky and just has the hardest time gaining weight... but at least he'll eat corn (and Fruit Loops).
